Anniversary dinner, and I had spent far too long choosing where. The Half Chicken is generous without being the sort of portion that defeats you. It has rather ruined every other Portland restaurant for me.

A friend visiting from abroad asked for somewhere local rather than famous. If the Brisket Plate is on when you go, order it before you read the rest of the menu. It is now the place I take people I want to impress without saying so.

Went twice in one week, once for work and once because I wanted to. The Pecan Pie was worth the wait, and there was a wait. The music was a shade loud for us, though nobody else seemed to mind.
